[ARCHIVED] Kincade Fire Update

Kincade Fire Information

The Evacuation Advisory is still in effect for Calistoga given the situation with the Kincade Fire. It has grown to more than 66,000 acres and is only 5% contained. The fire is not threatening Calistoga, but CalFire is keeping a close eye on it regarding Napa County.


Charging Centers & Community Resource Centers (CRCs):

Charging Centers and 2 Community Resource Centers are still operating. The one at the Calistoga Fairgrounds shut down yesterday after the evacuation advisory went out.

Schools

School closures for today remain in effect. Districts closed are:

Napa Valley USD

Calistoga JUSD

Howell Mountain ESD

Napa County Office of Education - all programs and offices


St. Helena USD and Pope Valley UESD are open.


Shelters

There is still plenty of room at the Napa Valley Expo shelter for evacuees from Sonoma.


Shelter locations:

CrossWalk Church - 2590 1st Street, Napa (capacity 250, limited for small animals)


Napa Valley Expo - 575 Third Street, Napa (capacity for evacuees is 700, small animals permitted, but capacity is limited)


Napa Valley College GYM - 2277 Napa Valley Highway (capacity 415 and small animals permitted)


Animals

Large Animals - The Napa Valley Horseman's Association and Valley Brook are able to take large animals, especially horses.

The Hartle Court Animal Shelter has been closed to the public through 11/4. Animal Shelter staff is operating 3 emergency pet shelters to support efforts for the Kincade Fire plus continuing to maintain the Hartle Court Shelter, so services have been reduced at the Hartle Court shelter to only a few critical needs. They plan to reopen with normal services on Tuesday, 11/5.
