During Governor’s Stay at Home Order, City parks to remain open for outdoor recreation that can comply with physical distancing requirements. Person-to-person contact sports are prohibited.
This status is in effect until extended, rescinded, superseded or amended. All parks and trails will be open from sunrise to sunset for outdoor recreation that can comply with physical distancing requirements. Person-to-person contact sports are prohibited. Playground use is prohibited. As always, the health and safety of our community is our top priority.
Physical Distancing Requirements:
- Maintain at least six-foot social distancing from individuals who are not part of the same household or living unit;
- Frequently wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use hand sanitizer that is recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as effective in combatting COVID-19;
- Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or fabric or, if not possible, into the sleeve or elbow (but not into hands); and
- Avoid all social interaction outside the household when sick with a fever or cough.
Overall, when visiting parks, the community must adhere to CDC guidelines of physical distancing and personal hygiene. Park users should bring their own water, as drinking fountains should not be used, and leave no trash to help keep parks clean and to protect the community.
