Happy National Farmers Market Week! From August 1-7, 2021, Napa will be joining the nation in celebrating our incredible local farmers market by encouraging residents to support local growers and producers.
The Napa Farmers Market
When:
Saturdays, 8 AM - 12 PM: Year-round, rain or shine
Tuesdays, 8 AM - 12 PM: April - December
Where: City of Napa Parking Lot at 1100 West Street in Downtown Napa
Who: Meet the local vendors!
The Napa Farmers Market is Napa County’s largest year-round California Certified Farmers’ Market that showcases local farmers, food producers and artisans. The market works to provide an inclusive gathering place where our community can come together, shop for their weekly groceries (and more), meet neighbors, interact with local vendors and learn how their purchases support small, family-owned farms with sustainable agricultural practices.
The Napa Farmers Market was also recognized as the #1 Farmers Market in California, #2 in the Pacific Region and #5 in the United States! The winners were voted on by people across the nation.
Fighting food insecurity is one of the priorities of the Napa Farmers Market, which runs a number of programs to help low-income residents purchase food. The local vendors accept WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks and CalFresh customers can double their food assistance benefits with Market Match funds. Our farmers also deliver fresh produce donations to the Napa Valley Food Bank and collect cash donations for the local homeless shelter.
All Napans can do their part to support our local economy by buying from the farmers, growers, producers and artisans that live in the Napa Valley. Not only does purchasing goods from the farmers market support our local economy, but it also increases local access to nutritious food, encourages healthy communities and promotes sustainability.
