With wildfire season already in full force in Napa, Napa County and the City of Napa are partnering with Zonehaven, an evacuation management and support tool, to ensure all residents know where to go and what to do in case of an emergency. The County has established evacuation zone numbers for authorities to use in emergency alerts, press releases and on social media so residents stay informed and safe.
“One of the most important responsibilities the Napa Fire Department and the Napa Police Department take on during an emergency is making sure residents evacuate quickly and safely,” said City of Napa Fire Chief Zach Curren. “Zonehaven is yet another great tool that will help provide the community with critical updates and resources. We encourage all Napa residents to take 30 seconds to find their zone number to be as prepared as possible.”
Clear and accessible communication during wildfires, flooding, mudslides, heat waves and other emergencies are vital and can be the difference between life and death. On top of sirens, Nixle alerts, evacuation tags and the Napa Fire Department’s boost on the ground approach, Zonehaven is yet another way for residents to stay informed when an emergency strikes.

During an emergency, knowing your zone will allow you to see emergency evacuation routes as well as evacuation warnings and orders. This information is updated on a regular basis so check it frequently. It is Napa’s hope that Zonehaven will work to make evacuations safer and more efficient for all of its residents.
Residents should also get prepared for emergencies by creating a plan with their household or family members, build an emergency supply kit, sign up for Nixle alerts and follow the City of Napa on social media.
