TID Board Opening

Want to make a difference in your community? Do you have expertise you could share? The City Clerk is accepting applications from Napa Residents for a total of two openings; two to serve on the City of Napa Local Governing Committee of the Napa Valley Tourism Improvement District (“Napa TID”) Representatives of Assessed Lodging Business in the City of Napa.  Please submit application by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2022.

The Napa TID shall oversee the expenditure of the City of Napa’s locally designated assessment funds in accordance with the requirements of Resolution No. 2014-64, the approved NVTID Management District Plan for July 2015-June 2025 (“Management District Plan”) and the Property and Business Improvement District Law of 1994 (“PBID Law”; Streets and Highways Code Sections 36600, et seq.), collectively the “NVTID Governing Laws”. Seven members. Five (5) are representatives of assessed lodging businesses selected by lodging businesses. One (1) representative of a visitor-serving or destination marketing entity designated by the Napa TID. One (1) representative of City Staff or City Council Member. The Napa TID shall meet regularly on the fourth (4th) Tuesday of each month at the establishments of the Napa TID members by rotation.

This recruitment is for two(2) “Representatives of Assessed Lodging Business in the City of Napa” 

The City of Napa recruits throughout the year for interested residents to serve on a variety of boards and commissions that examine issues of community concern. Volunteers appointed to serve on a board or commission help City Council and city departments examine issues and, in turn, shape the future of Napa. Board and Commission members are appointed by the City Council and terms vary but are typically either two or three years. Most board members must be city residents and registered voters.
