The City of Napa is pleased to announce the hiring of Breyana Brandt as Parks & Recreation Director, effective September 6.

As Parks & Recreation Director, Brandt will lead the Parks & Recreation staff in achieving departmental goals through training, mentorship, and encouraging innovation and input. She will also work collaboratively on emerging community issues, such as homelessness, and help rebuild special events and recreational programs.

“Providing meaningful spaces for residents to connect is crucial to cultivating a strong sense of community,” said City Manager Steve Potter. “We are confident Breyana’s Parks & Recreation expertise and leadership will guide us to a deeper City bond through Department-specific initiatives.”

Before her recent hire at the City of Napa, Brandt served as Parks & Recreation Director at the Town of Moraga and Assistant Recreation & Human Services Director at the City of San Leandro.

“I look forward to joining this amazing City of Napa team,” said Ms. Brandt. “Parks and recreation are integral parts of the health and vitality of a community and I am so excited to be a part of the continued success of this department.”
