Napa’s Tourism Improvement District (TID) enables the City to host exciting events, including the annual Lighted Art Festival. Its $200,000 contribution to the festival—half of the event’s overall budget—allowed the City to continue this annual tradition that community members and visitors look forward to every year.
Taking place at the beginning of each year, the Lighted Art Festival showcases local and international artists through a celebration of creative arts, technology and lights. This year, the free walkable outdoor experience featured lighted art sculptures and projection artwork on downtown buildings. With a prime location in Downtown Napa, the annual festival is also conveniently located by top-tier restaurants and hotels, facilitating easy access to those who are visiting town for the weekend.
The TID’s support for events like the Lighted Art Festival enhances the overall brand of the City, creating an inviting atmosphere that residents and visitors appreciate. TID-supported events like these further position Napa as the ultimate vacation destination, facilitating additional stays for those who want to experience the event for an extended period of time; and judging by the turnout during the opening weekend, locals love it too!
