On April 18, Napa County industry leaders, policymakers and educators came together to discuss workforce issues at the Napa Valley Workforce Policy Summit. Key speakers included Napa Valley College Senior Dean Dr. Doug Marriott, Napa Valley College President Dr. Torence Powell and Workforce Alliance of the North Bay (WANB) Executive Director Bruce Wilson.
The Workforce Alliance of the North Bay also introduced a Labor Market Analysis & Strategy Report, which provides insights and recommendations to help drive workforce investment priorities and the development of collaborative community partnerships.
A workforce discussion panel followed the release of the report, with panelists from Sonoma State University, Napa Valley College and Workforce Alliance of the North Bay and Napa Chamber of Commerce President Jeri Hansen as moderator. After the panel, attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and engage the panelists.
Thank you to Napa Valley College, City of Napa, City of Napa Economic Development Department, Napa Chamber of Commerce, WANB, Napa County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Solano-Napa Small Business Development Center and Napa Valley Chamber Coalition for making this event possible. It’s opportunities like these that reflect the communal heart of Napa and show why our City is the best place to live, work and play!
