Whether you're a beginner or an experienced swimmer, the City’s revamped Learn to Swim lessons at Harvest Middle School offer a comprehensive curriculum tailored to your needs. From Junior Guard Camps with exciting themes to the brand-new Splashball program, there's no shortage of aquatic adventures to dive into. Make lasting memories and build confidence in the water. Give your child a summer they'll never forget with Napa's premier summer camps. Camp Napa, located at the Las Flores Community Center, is the ultimate playground for kids aged 5 to 9. With theme days, interactive games, art projects, and water play, they'll be engaged in a world of excitement and healthy habits. Meanwhile, the Great Outdoors Camp at Kennedy Park invites children aged 7 to 12 to explore nature, build forts, try archery, and unleash their creativity through arts and crafts. Kids aged 4 to 13 will put the ‘fun’ in fundamental sports skill building at the Summer Sports Camps, where they can explore soccer, basketball, fencing, volleyball and more. Napa is renowned for its picturesque parks and scenic trails that beckon outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. With over 54 parks covering 800 acres of lush greenery, Napa's Parks and Recreation Department offers a haven for relaxation and adventure. The City’s park system consists of a variety of recreation attractions, such as parks, open space, playgrounds, sport fields, a golf course, the Napa River and miles of natural and paved trails for walking, biking and hiking. Some of the most popular hiking trails are found in Alston Park, Oxbow Preserve, Trancas Crossing and Westwood Hills Park—and as a Napa Valley Vine Trail partner, there are 47 miles of biking and hiking trails to explore throughout the City and into the valley. Tee up new experiences at the Napa Golf Course and Main Street boat dock
Hole 9 at the Napa Golf Course is back open to the public after a long winter, and the course has added new combo tees to holes 6, 11, and 12 to provide an enhanced experience for players of all skill levels. If you’d rather spend summer days making a splash than taking a swing, Main Street boat dock will be offering short term mooring for private vessels and non-motorized craft launch. You can also book a kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding or Venetian gondola adventure on the river with one of Napa’s great vendors, including Enjoy Napa Valley, Napa Valley Paddle and Napa Valley Gondola.
Reserve facilities for special occasions
Whether you're planning a beautiful wedding, a business meeting, a fun family reunion in the park, or a softball tournament with your buddies, Napa Parks and Recreation has a facility to help you host and a helpful team to assist with obtaining your permit. Reservations are available for picnic areas at John F. Kennedy Park, Fuller Park, O’Brien Park, Dry Creek Park and Playground Fantastico. Sports fields and turf areas at John F. Kennedy Park and Kiwanis Park are available for private rentals, tournaments, and leagues. Banquet rooms can be reserved at the Napa Senior Center and Pelusi Building and gym space available at Las Flores Community Center.
