Studio Spaces Galleries

Napa Makes is breathing new life into the artisan making, small-scale manufacturing and artist/creative sectors, fostering a diversified and resilient local economy that provides a thriving platform for artists and makers in the City of Napa. As Napa continues to support and nurture these sectors, it solidifies its position as a cultural haven for artists and art enthusiasts alike. One shining example of the impact of the Napa Makes initiative is the 100 Coombs Creative Collective

Born out of a shared vision and determination, this collective symbolizes the transformative power of community collaboration in the creative space. Nestled in the Tannery Bend area of Napa, the 100 Coombs Creative Collective stands as a testament to the positive influence of the Napa Makes initiative.

Linda Parks, the visionary behind the Lixit Corporation, has actively participated in Napa's business landscape for over five decades. In response to the global shift of manufacturing to China, Linda had to adapt her business strategy to remain competitive. Scaling back production in certain areas presented an opportunity for her to explore new possibilities within her 40,000 square foot warehouse space on Coombs Avenue. During the formulation of the Napa Creative Space and Local Manufacturing Action Plan, Linda became involved with the Napa Makes initiative. This movement shed light on the urgent need for studio and maker spaces within the creative community. Recognizing the potential of her warehouse, Linda made the decision to convert a portion of it into small studio spaces.

Through her engagement with Napa Makes, Linda connected with Agnes Pierscieniak, an esteemed artist from Los Angeles who recently relocated to Napa to be closer to family. Agnes shared Linda's passion for nurturing a vibrant creative community and actively sought a space that fostered artistic growth and collaboration. This meeting of minds led to the birth of the 100 Coombs Creative Collective. Agnes, with her expertise in consulting, marketing, and branding, played a pivotal role in shaping the collective's vision. Together, Linda and Agnes have created an environment that will encourage creativity and support artists in their professional endeavors.

Currently, the 100 Coombs Creative Collective offers 13 studio spaces to local artists and makers. Despite not having officially opened its doors, the collective has already witnessed significant interest, with over half of the available spaces already rented. The response from the creative community has been overwhelmingly positive, as artists and makers eagerly anticipate the opening later this year.

As the collective prepares to open its doors, Napa's creative community eagerly awaits the opportunities for growth, collaboration, and artistic expression that the 100 Coombs Creative Collective promises to deliver.
