The City of Napa has been hard at work updating the Housing Element, which will serve as the City of Napa’s housing plan for the next 8 years (2023-2031). It guides future decisions on housing preservation, protection, and production and reflects the community’s vision of equity and inclusion. California law requires that cities and counties update their housing elements every 8 years.
The City is pleased to announce that the latest Draft of the Housing Element has been updated and was published to the Housing Element website on Friday, October 6! This latest draft (Revision No. 6), as well as the Redline Version, HCD Initial Findings Letter, and HCD Findings Tracking Sheet can be found here: https://napahousingelement.com/documents/
This most recent draft is the culmination of many months of work by City staff and the City's consultant team, in close partnership with the California Department of Housing and Community Development, and will be presented to the Napa City Council for final approval on Tuesday, October 17th.
This is an important milestone as we work to carefully shape Napa’s housing future!
