Welcome to the GPAC Quick Hits Newsletter!

This newsletter is intended to provide the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) periodic updates on the General Plan Update process, upcoming meetings, and activities. It is also a way for GPAC Members and Planning Staff to share articles and ideas on topics of interest and trends related to community planning.

Consolidated Plan - Survey & Workshop

The Consolidated Plan is a five-year planning document that identifies housing and community development needs and stipulates how federal funding sources will be spent during the planning period. There are three ways you can help:

ADU Center Opening Soon!

Job Opportunity - Center Director

The Napa Sonoma ADU Center (ADU "One-Stop Shop) is opening soon and is searching for a ADU Center Director! This position offers the chance to develop the Center from the ground up, developing a range of nonprofit, government, and private sector partnerships to increase the number of ADUs built in the North Bay!

General Plan Update - Behind The Scenes

Draft Land Use Plan - UPDATE!

Revisions on the Draft Land Use Plan and Urban Design Strategies are due back to Planning Staff by Friday, January 31. Final revisions will be made next week.

Countywide Subregion

Beyond the General Plan Update, work begins on the next update to the Housing Element, due in 2023. The Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) has initiated discussions at the regional level regarding the next Regional Housing Needs Allocation. At the January 21 meeting, City Council adopted a resolution supporting a Countywide Subregion - partnering with the City of American Canyon, Town of Yountville, and Napa County to locally administer the allocation process.
