We've spent some time upgrading our software system to make it easier to browse and register for the activities you want. The first time you register you'll be asked to create a new account. It's an easy process. Go ahead and add additional members (spouse, children, etc.) while you're at it. Get a head start by visiting the new site HERE

Get Outside in 2021

5 ideas to enjoy the outdoors in 2021

1. Hike at one of the City’s open space parks including Alston, Westwood Hills, Oxbow Preserve and Timberhill.
2. Bike or run along the 26 miles of City trails including the River Trail or Vine Trail.
3. Take the family to one of City’s 33 playgrounds. Be sure to check out the brand new Playground Fanastico.
4. Meditate in nature at a peaceful neighborhood park.
5. Paddle the beautiful Napa River and explore the ecology and wildlife along of the river. Boat launches are available at Kennedy Park, Main Street Boat Dock, Trancas Crossing, Riverside Park, or the Jim Hench Kayak Launch.

Staff Recognition

Quality Customer Experience Awards

Special kudos to the Parks and Recreation Department’s Tree Crew who recently received one of the department’s quarterly awards.  The Urban Forestry Team consists of Woody Hedderman (Supervisor), Sam Glenn, Dawn Owens, Ramon Ruiz, Joseph Zapata and Kevin Phillips. Their efforts this past quarter exemplified our core value of providing Quality Customer Experiences.  They demonstrated tremendous dedication by performing their daily and often challenging tasks that are needed to maintain Napa’s urban canopy (which consists of 50,000+ trees).  They also responded quickly to clear and protect one of the City’s water facilities during the recent Glass Fire as well as helped remove hazardous trees after the fires were out to ensure county residents could return to their homes safely.

Wishing you a Safe and Happy New Year
