Cornhole Close to the Edge

Spring Corn Hole League

1500 Jefferson Street - Senior Center Bocce Courts

It was so close to the hole you can almost hear it drop! It's been a long time since we've been able to offer this program but now's the time to come out and toss some bean bags. This winter we are foiling the elements by playing at the covered outdoor Bocce Courts at the Senior Center. Games are setup with safety and social distancing in mind. Register HERE

Downtown Utility Box Are Wrap

Downtown Utility Box Art Wraps

Downtown will be getting a little brighter. In partnership with the Napa Downtown Association, the installation of 13 Art Wraps will be taking place on utility boxes around downtown. Photographs of artworks from regional artists are transferred to vinyl and wrapped around the existing utility boxes.

The art transforms what are typically dull uninviting areas into spaces that inspire contemplation, reflection and conversation. The project supports the City of Napa’s Public Art program by including more art into the public realm to create a more livable and visually stimulating environment for the community to enjoy.

ROW Crew

Quality Customer Experience Awards

Special kudos to the Parks and Recreation Department’s Right of Ways Crew who recently received one of the department’s quarterly awards. The team consists of Ken Rutherford, Pedro Poblanco, Matt Dunachie, and Danny Casey. Their efforts this past quarter exemplified our core value of providing Quality Customer Experiences.  They demonstrate tremendous dedication to maintain miles and miles of street landscapes around the City.  They go above and beyond to work with residents when completing their tasks.  Despite this demanding daily work, the Right of Way crew works often have smiles on their faces because they are working as team and happy to serve the community.
