Volunteer

Volunteer Opportunities

As things open back up so have our volunteer opportunities. Volunteering is the ultimate way to help create the kind of community to live, work and play.

4th of July Decorating
Downtown will get an extra splash of patriotic color to help celebrate Independence Day. We need 15 – 20 volunteers to help hang bunting and other decorations on the bridges, promenade, and Veteran's Memorial Park . Work to place the decorations happens on July 1st from 8 am to noon. Take down will happen on July 8th. It’s not as much fun but we’ll need 10 – 15 volunteers for that effort. Due to the proximity to traffic, working on bridges and crossing streets we are limiting this activity to ages 14 and up. Email Pete Hangen

Park Cleanup
We’ve had many volunteers picking up trash while walking the parks and hiking the trails. There's a new opportunity to assist with keeping the playground areas clean and safe for the kids. Wood chips are placed under playground equipment to provide a softer landing area. With play, the chips get moved and need to be spread back under the equipment. We also use chips in landscaped areas and are looking for volunteers to spread the chips under trees and around plants. We’ll supply the rakes and chips. Larger group workdays at Westwood Hills and other parks will start back up in the fall. Complete our online form HERE and we'll let you know.

Whether you’re looking for a long-term commitment or one that just takes a few hours Napa Parks and Recreation has many opportunities to fit your schedule and interests. To help us find the right fit for you please complete our online form HERE.
