Welcome to the GPAC Quick Hits Newsletter!

This newsletter is intended to provide the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) periodic updates on the General Plan Update process, upcoming meetings, and activities. It is also a way for GPAC Members and Planning Staff to share articles and ideas on topics of interest and trends related to community planning.

Why Housing Policy is Climate Policy

California State Senator Scott Wiener, Chair of the Senate Housing Committee, and Dr. Daniel Kamman, Professor of Energy at UC-Berkeley, prepared an editorial for the New York Times, published on March 25, 2019.

General Plan Update - Behind The Scenes

Outreach efforts continued this week with Planning Staff working alongside Spanish-speaking community leaders on the Spanish version of the Community Survey and engagement strategies. More to come next week!

Planning Staff also met with members of the senior community, sharing ideas on the General Plan Update with the "Mind Boosters" group at Collabria Care facility in south Napa!

Engagement with the Kiwanis Club of Napa, Coldwell Banker - Brokers of the Valley, and the Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Panel coming up later in April. If you know of any groups or organizations interested in discussing the General Plan Update, let me know!
