Welcome to the GPAC Quick Hits Newsletter!

This newsletter is intended to provide the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) periodic updates on the General Plan Update process, upcoming meetings, and activities. It is also a way for GPAC Members and Planning Staff to share articles and ideas on topics of interest and trends related to community planning.

April 30: The Planning Commission and City Council held a joint meeting to discuss the General Plan Update. Chair Chuck Shinnamon and Vice Chair Bernie Narvaez updated the Commission and Council on GPAC participation and planned activities.

Bike to Work & School Day - May 9, 2019

Join thousands of people across the North Bay and leave the car at home on Bike to Work & School Day! Napa County Bicycle Coalition will have energizer stations located throughout the Valley stocked with snacks and other bike-themed giveaways!

General Plan Update - Behind The Scenes

Next Steps - Planning Staff will be meeting with the Consultant Team on Monday to discuss scheduling for Stakeholder Interviews.

Planning Staff will be attending the League of California Cities North Bay Chapter division meeting on Thursday, May 16. Senator Scott Wiener will be presenting information on the SB 50 Housing Bill making it's way through the Senate.

A discussion about the General Plan Update will also be on the agenda at the May 20 meeting of the Napa County Democrats. Planning Staff, GPAC Chair Chuck Shinnamon, and Planning Commission Chair Beth Painter will serve on the panel. More details to come!
