Welcome to the GPAC Quick Hits Newsletter!

This newsletter is intended to provide the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) periodic updates on the General Plan Update process, upcoming meetings, and activities. It is also a way for GPAC Members and Planning Staff to share articles and ideas on topics of interest and trends related to community planning.

GPAC Meeting Recap

August 26, 2019

The GPAC Meeting included presenting ideas for Guiding Principles as well as a mapping exercise to identify Land Use and Transportation Alternatives. These will be refined for further discussion at the September 23 GPAC Meeting. An online mapping tool will be created in the coming week for additional GPAC input (see "Behind the Scenes" below).

General Plan Update - Behind the Scenes

Alternatives - Mapping Program
Staff is working with the Consultant Team to release an online mapping tool for GPAC Members to access for continued dialogue on potential Land Use and Transportation Alternatives. This should be live in the coming week and will be forwarded to the GPAC Members via email.

Health in All Policies Forum
Staff has secured a location for a Health in All Policies forum being organized by members of the GPAC. Save the date! Monday, October 7 - 5:30PM in the Senior Center. Speaker lineup forthcoming.
