Housing Update

The Planning and Housing Divisions provided an update on housing to the City Council at their October 1 meeting. The update included information on the City's housing supply and demand, residential development activity, and steps the City is taking to facilitate housing opportunities.

Transit-Supportive Density Webinar

The Priority Development Area (PDA) Program, predicated on infill development near quality transit, is central to achieving increasingly aggressive regional and state Greenhouse Gas reduction goals. In order to grow in ways that support quality transit while benefiting communities, identifying the right set of densities is critical. This forum will explore best practices and evidence from recent research on transit-supportive housing and job densities.

Updates from Napa Valley Transit Authority

Napa Countywide Bicycle Plan

NVTA has recently announced that the Napa Countywide Bicycle Plan draft is available on their website. The Plan and environmental documents are scheduled to go before the NVTA Board for adoption at their October 23 meeting.


Countywide Transit Plan (CTP)

NVTA has launched an update of the Countywide Transportation Plan to create a shared vision for 2045. The Plan will incorporate ideas from residents and jurisdictions across Napa County.

General Plan Update - Behind the Scenes


Senior Staff Update
Dyett & Bhatia provided an update of the General Plan process to the Senior Staff on Wednesday, October 16.

Vision & Guiding Principles Document
An updated version of the Community Vision & Guiding Principles Document will be provided in the GPAC Meeting agenda packet scheduled to go out on Wednesday, October 23. Hard copies of the full color, eight page booklet will be distributed at the meeting!
